Documents.Me is a cross-cloud mobile solution for your iPhone or iPad

You like to use Google Drive, but maybe your job uses iCloud or Dropbox. Documents.Me lets you access them all through one application as well as manage email and attachments at the same time.

If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can access all your clouds securely, whether it is iCloud, Dropbox or Google Drive (SkyDrive, Box, and others to be supported in future updates). The app also lets you manage your email attachments as well as remotely access documents on your Mac or PC.

One of the neat features is the unified search function, which enables you to search files based on name or content whether it is in one of the clouds or on your PC or Mac at home or work. Of course, you can save documents to read offline later if you choose. You are also able to copy and store between different clouds seamlessly using your iPhone or iPad.

For any IT or legal types that worry about security or auditing, you can enable a PIN log-in with a security wipe feature for the app (10 wrong log-in attempts deletes synced data). Plus, all synchronizations, access and email is logged on the device and host computer with a time-stamp and other information to satisfy auditors or reporting requirements.

If this solution sounds a little familiar, it may be because this was called DocSync in a previous life. The app was available for the iPad only, but not surprisingly, a lot of users wanted to see the app available for their iPhones as well. After a period of beta testing late last year, we now have Documents.Me as the final product, with an enhanced UI and is now available for the iPad and iPhone. From the looks of it, this does address a reality of people trying to manage multiple projects, companies or lifestyles and gives them the ability to handle them all through a single application.

Documents.Me is free to download on iTunes.

Press Release

SANTA CLARA, Calif. ? January 16, 2013 ? Documents.Me (www.documents.me) today launched the first solution to aggregate business documents from private, public and email clouds. With this new native iPhone/iPad solution, users now have secure and instant access, either online or offline, to their business documents located across their computer, public document clouds (i.e. Google Drive, iCloud, Dropbox) and email attachments. In addition to the ability to search, access and read documents on-the-go, Documents.Me allows users to take various actions with their files including light editing, saving locally to device, sharing and copying documents to various clouds. It also allows users to create custom project folders with documents from various clouds for better organization. Documents.Me is available for download free of charge in the Apple App store.

?Up until now, there have been many point solutions for accessing files: one to remotely access PC and Mac documents, one to access Email attachments and one to access each of the public cloud drives. This can make searching for relevant documents on-the-go difficult and time consuming,? said R. Paul Singh, Founder of Documents.Me. ?Documents.Me solves that problem with a one-stop comprehensive platform that allows for easy, secure and smart access to your relevant business files no matter where they are located.?

Documents.Me increases productivity by allowing users to search for a file or browse all of their files or file content from public or private clouds right from their mobile device. It also offers offline access to users? files and folders as well as downloaded files. Additionally, Documents.Me employs strict security and control measures to keep personal and company documents safe. Documents.Me works on WIFI, 3G and 4G networks.

Documents.Me has been in Beta testing since late 2012 after being introduced at DEMO. Since then, thousands of users who travel for business or attend offsite meetings and only prefer to carry their iPhone or iPad have found this app to be invaluable. Early adopters include professionals working in sales, marketing, consulting, legal and other services.

"As a start-up executive, I am often on the road and only have easy access to my mobile device. Before I discovered Documents.Me, it was difficult to keep track of my clients? documents, as the files were stored in several different locations. Now, I can create a Project Folder for each client and drag and drop documents from my computer, Dropbox or Google Drive. Then when I go to meet them, everything is organized and shows up nicely.? Van Krueger, vice president of operations, Mobiplex.

?As a user of Microsoft Office on iMac, Google Docs, Dropbox and Gmail, we welcome new products like Documents.Me that make life easier in accessing documents from all of these places on the mobile device seamlessly in one common interface,? said Inder Monga, Chief Technologist, ESNet.
