South Florida's warm weather is back, and just in time for the weekend: Friday began with a chill, but should kick off a warmer period for the region, with highs expected to be in the 70s through next week.
Friday will be mostly sunny with a high of 72 and overnight partly cloudy skies with a low of 58, according to the National Weather Service website. No hazardous weather is expected through the weekend.
Highs will venture into the upper-70s and lows in the 60s into the weekend. Sunday morning will warm up to morning lows in the 60s and afternoon temperatures in the mid- to upper-70s. Meteorologist Evelyn Rivera said temperatures will stay in the high 70s next week.
